We're Gotham Knights — NYC's queer and inclusive rugby club since 2001. All bodies, all levels, zero gatekeeping. If you can show up, we can teach you the rest.

Your people, not just your team

Meeting people in this city is hard. Meeting them somewhere that isn't a bar is harder. Rugby fixes that: a squad that'll have your back on Saturday and your bar tab after.

We'll teach you to tackle. And be tackled.

Many of us had never touched a rugby ball before we walked in. Year-round coaching, patient vets, and a game that has a position for every body type — yes, yours.

We play for real

IGR and Empire GU league play, NorAm, the Bingham Cup — we've taken the jersey around the world. Come for the community, stay because we're good.

What we ask of you

Show up. Practices, matches, tournaments — consistently. Rugby is a tough sport, and our job is to make you tougher; that only works if you're there. Practice is where you learn the game. Match day is where you prove it. It's hard work, and your teammates are in it with you. You show up for us, we show up for you — on the pitch and off it.
