Who we are

Gotham Knights Rugby Football Club is New York City's gay and inclusive rugby club. We play Division 4 men's rugby in Empire GU and we're a member of International Gay Rugby (IGR).

Our mission: make room in rugby for LGBTQ players and everyone the sport overlooked, take apart the stereotypes about queer athletes, and field a team that competes for real — from league play to the Bingham Cup.

All of the rainbow, one pitch

Founded in 2001, we've spent 25 years fielding gay, bi, trans, queer, and straight athletes of every skill level — and proving, season after season, what queer athletes can do. Membership has never been gay-exclusive. What we ask is simple: back your Gotham brothers, and back the mission.

Brotherhood

Rugby is a game you can't play alone — that's the point. We commit to each other on the pitch and off it, and that bond has carried this club through 25 years, a feature documentary (With You!), a Bingham Cup title, and the Bingham Shield we just brought home from Australia. Growth in rugby

Hard work on the pitch is backed by generosity off it. Our donors and sponsors keep kit on backs and the club on the road, and we give back through community work of our own. Want in? Donate, or talk to us about sponsorship.
